Why did you create the Sustainable & Innovative City Label?

The Sustainable and Innovative City Label is a tool for steering public sustainable-development policies for local or regional authorities that complements a European label – the European Energy Award (EEA) focused on climate, air and energy challenges. The Sustainable and Innovative City label has existed since 2019 and provides a complementary look at the Climate, Air and Energy Label for local or regional policy.
