The Paris 2024 Olympics have raised many hopes, fired many dreams. They have also sparked some concerns, however, and even opposition. So many hopes and fears on which research can shed a light.
This prompted Université Paris-Est (UPE) to propose the creation of an Olympics Observatory to evaluate the impacts of Paris 2024 and to support its organisation and management. The aim is to create a new and independent body with a view to minimising the negative externalities and optimising the social benefits of the Olympic Games.
On Friday 2 February 2018, in the presence of Gilles Roussel, President of Université Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée, Efficacity CEO Michel Salem-Sermanet will take to the podium to raise the issue of “The environmental challenge of the Paris Olympics”.
