OBJECTIVES

This course will enable you to:

  • understand the stakes and the levers behind the emergence of the smart grid concept
  • identify the different technological building blocks making up a smart grid
  • discover the new user services smart grids can offer as a link in the chain from smart building to smart city
  • identify the role and motivations of all those involved in smart grid programming/design/ execution
  • analyse the financial benefits and risks of a smart grid project

Day 2 – Integrating SMART GRIDs: feedback and methodologies

OBJECTIVES

This course will enable you to:

  • analyse energy issues at city scale
  • apply the smart grid concept to a number of concrete and diversified cases
  • identify the costs and benefits inherent in smart grid projects
  • draw up a methodological framework for the larger-scale deployment of smart grids in France
